The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide crib is a crib that can be placed at the bedside, allowing parents to rest with their newborn while ensuring that they are sleeping safely. The smooth glide motion helps to lull your baby back into sleep and its innovative features let you keep an eye on your baby without leaving your bed.

The cot's side panel sliding lifts and lowers with the push of the button, making it easy to reach inside and soothe a baby in the night. It also comes with 11 height adjustments that let it fit the mattress of almost any size bed and it comes with adjustable feet that fold down to ensure it's placed at just the right height.

In terms of safety the cot is cushioned and fitted with mesh sides for better ventilation, and its mattress is made from high-density foam to provide extra protection. It's also wipeable so that you can keep it clean. Additionally, it comes with a fitted sheet that is suitable for use with the cot.

Unlike some other bedside cribs unlike other cribs for bedside use, the Roomie Glide is suitable for the majority of beds, including divans thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib if it isn't connected to the bed. It has many amazing features designed with the idea of parent-child bonding in mind.

One thing to bear in mind is that even though this crib is great for babies, it won't last long once your child is six months old, and you'll need to invest in a bigger cot. But, in general Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she especially liked its elegant design.

The Roomie Glide is available to purchase at John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna felt was a reasonable price for a cot with these innovative features. She liked how it was positioned in her bedroom, and thought the grey color would work in most modern homes. She did mention that it's not a good idea to rock a baby in the early years because it can cause an unfavourable sleep pattern for later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to ensure an uninterrupted night's sleep. It features an adjustable side rail that can be easily lifted to feed your child during the night without disturbing them or getting out of the bed. This is great for mothers who breastfeed! It's also light, making it easy to move around the house during naps and for travelling.

It's made from soft materials and has mesh sides that are breathable to help promote airflow. It is available in charcoal or oak and various melange fabrics that can be incorporated with a variety of styles. Anna found it sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed with the legs securely snapping into the frame and the zips securely secured to ensure safety for babies. It took Anna around 10 minutes to put it together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer support number if you experience any issues.

As well as the usual features you'd expect from a crib that is bedside, like being able to connect to your existing bed using a stay-in-place connection system and six height levels The CoZee comes with an additional incline option that can be used to aid congestion or reflux in infants. It's also machine-washable, which is a must for all the dribbles, vomit and snot that comes with having a newborn!

If you want to keep your baby close to you during the first six months when they're beginning to learn to sleep independently and independently, the CoZee is a great option because it can be used as a standalone crib, changing table and toddler bed. It can even be converted into a sofa bed with the addition of an extension pack. While it won't be able to magically put your baby to sleep or feed them, it will rock the baby and take them to school.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive alternatives. However, it comes with a lot of great features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper or a standalone crib, and is suitable for infants ranging from birth to six months. It has a new mechanism to open and close the side panel and is easy to use, even for one-handed operation. It is also more adjustable than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings as well as retractable legs for a secure place under any bed.

Our testers were impressed with the simple access the side panel provides that can be lowered and raised at the touch of the button. This was particularly helpful during nighttime feedings as they could reach inside and pick up their baby without disturbing them.

It is possible to lower the side panel itself, but this isn't recommended because it increases the chance that your baby will fall out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism guarantees that it can only remain in place if it is connected to the bed of the parent correctly. This feature can be very beneficial for peace of mind if you are breastfeeding and need frequent feedings at night.

Telescopic legs enable the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed including divan bases and beds with drawers. It features a tilting feature to help reflux babies, and an option to rock to soothe them to sleep after eating. It's also extremely spacious and provides excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.

Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, although it does come with lengthy instructions. It is a little heavier than other side-sleepers, however, it is easily moved from one place to another. It can also be folded into a travel bag which is a great option when you need to transport it. The only negative our testers found is that the side panel didn't stretch as much as other models. This made it a little harder to see your baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

If you're in search of an ideal bedside crib that can expand with your child then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth a look. It's designed to be a sleep-co-sleeping bassinet that will attach securely to your bed, but can also convert into a stylish cot when your baby is ready. It's ideal for feeding at night and for strengthening your bond with your baby.

Contrary to other cribs for bed, the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The mesh side panels with dual-view and hypoallergenic, breathable airflow mattress increase airflow and keep your baby comfortable and cool. The gentle slope can help alleviate colic and reflux. The zip-down side allows you to feed your baby, or even comfort them at night.

The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you require to begin. It took us around an hour to assemble and was relatively simple. The only drawback was the absence of written captions on some of the pictures, which made it difficult to follow certain steps. Overall, the process was simple and the materials used were of high quality.

In  bedside co sleeper cot -sleeping position, we found the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent option for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a c-section because it lets them comfortably reach out to their newborn for feeding and comfort without having to leave their bed. It's ideal for parents who don't want the hassle of putting their baby in a traditional cot or even getting them out of it.

During our tests we noticed the smooth motion of the next-to-me crib to be extremely useful in helping babies fall asleep after midday and nighttime feeds. The drop-down side makes it easy to feed or soothe babies throughout the night. This was a huge selling point for our exhausted test moms. While  bedside cot for twins  doesn't rock or have extra features such as a sound system, the Joie Roomie Slide's sleek design and functional features make it a great addition to our top crib reviews for bed.
